MORE WAVES. MORE JUMPS. MORE WINDSURFING.

The excitin 2025 KODE. The future wave of bump & jump boards. True wave performance with freeride speed. Impossible. Until today. Challenge the Kode. Experience next level performance.

THE KODE IN DETAIL

THE KODE. DECODED.

Efficient flat mid-rocker into a very smooth curve under the standing area acts like an accelerator pedal and lets you ride into cruise control. Thin rails provide bite. Without grab. Double concave under the nose area boosts planing, smoothing your ride in aggressive conditions. Vee concave mid section feeds a pronounced tail Vee, empowers the Kode with more wave board turning ability than a crossover board. The 2024 Kode sensation. Different from any other Kode range ever developed. Combines more wave riding and blasting ability than any predecessors.

CARBON SANDWICH

CARN

CARBON SANDWICH PERFORMANCE VALUE

Ultralight weight at a reasonable price. The bottom is built in high-density PVC and glass to increase comfort while the deck has also 60% carbon with Uni-Directional layers. The overall results create a smooth responsive light feeling. For maximum protection from impacts and heavy-duty, all Carbon Sandwich Kodes are built with Carbon Innegra rails.

WOOD SANDWICH

THE FLAGSHIP CONSTRUCTION

Developed by Jean Louis Colmas in 1984, Wood Technology became Starboard’s trademark construction in 1995. Wood Technology remains a favourite for riders preferring more comfort, more control and the unique crisp feel of an original Starboard. It’s time to bring back this technology while reducing our CO2 footprint. Full wood sandwich lamination of 0.6mm Australian Pinewood over modern, recyclable 3mm PET core foam ensures durability and comfort in a good strength to weight ratio. Today’s wood is less visible in modern graphics; UV protected by fresh blue paint and stickers that compliment the natural grain with a really nice effect. A classy re-edition of a classic Starboard Original.

85, 95 & 105: FASTER, SMOOTHER, SNAPPIER

Kode 85, 95 and 105 accelerate quicker with increased area behind the fin. This lift is balanced with more nose area, creating a super smooth ride in choppy waters. Manoeuvrability is enhanced by the added curve around the front footstraps. The new Kode hip outline makes bottom turns and jibes notably more engaging and flowing.

115, 125 & 135: THE BEST LARGE WAVE BOARDS WE EVER MADE

We want to make wave riding accessible to everyone in any conditions. Do you want to wave ride even if the wind is light and the currents are strong? Do you want a confident board that is easy to balance through the shorebreaks? The 115, 125 & 135 Kodes feature larger centre line volumes with thin, responsive rails, which allow you to enjoy tricky conditions. Ride more waves with ease. Or switch out the wave riding thrusters for the single fin and enjoy a high speed freeride blast.

KODE 145 – THE NEW EXPERIENCE

If you enjoy a larger size Freeride board,  the KODE 145 promises you a new level of satisfaction. Tuned with a single fin, you feel an incredibly “free” board underfoot. We’ll see you smiling through your first autopilot gybe, thanks to the curved outline and easy, confidence inspiring rounded rails.

The shorter length increases your sense of agility, and with responsive thruster setup, you’ll gybe like never before  and chasing small waves to ride. Jump on board with 6 to 8.5 meter sails and ask yourself how a board can make such a difference in sensation.

HAVE IT ALL YOUR WAY

Thruster for reactive turns and wave action. Single fin for early planing and fun, fast freeride. All Carbon Sandwich KODE are supplied with both thruster and single fin set options. Wood Sandwich KODE 85, 95 & 105 supplied with thruster fins. Larger Wood Sandwich KODE 115, 125, 135 and 145 are supplied with single fin.

VERSSATILITY. BULIT IN

All 2025 KODE come equipped with Powerbox centre and lightweight Starbox side thruster fin boxes except the 85 liters with a US box due to the slim tail. Faster assembly, more accurate fin setup and tuning… Our Starbox is compatible with US box fins.

PLAY HARDE. FOR LONGER

Premium Drake footstraps manufactured from certified natural Yulex-foam, the smoothest fabric for a comfortable ride. Under your feet,10mm thick footpads with diamond grooving pattern provide positive grip, maximising comfort over extended sessions while being resistant to wear-and-tear.

CARBON SANDWICH, PERFORMANCE X VALUE

Each Kode underside is laminated with 2 layers of Glass with different angles for optimized flex, while the deck is 60% UD 80g carbon to have a responsive deck.

WOOD SANDWICH, CLASSIC CONSTRUCTION

Developed by Jean Louis Colmas in 1984, Wood Technology became Starboard’s trademark construction in 1995- and made Starboard the world’s number one Windsurfing brand 7 years later. Wood Technology remains a proven favourite for riders preferring more comfort and control, combined with that unique crisp “wood” feel. Full Wood Sandwich lamination of 0.6mm Australian Pinewood over PVC foam ensures impact resistance and comfort with optimum strength to weight ratio. Durability is further enhanced with UV protection film, complimenting the natural wood grain with a blue shine effect. A classy re-edition of a classic Starboard Original.

FINBOXES

Featuring two lightweight Starboxes and one US box (Powerbox on 125 & 135) the versatility doesn’t take a toll on the overall board weight.
The Starbox system allows you to fit Slot Box fins, quickly locating your last setting to get you on the water faster. Starbox is also compatible with US box fins.

SMART COLOR SET-UP

Wave: Adjust your mast base and footstraps around the white marks.

FreeWave: Adjust your mast base and footstraps around the light blue marks.

Freeride: Adjust your mast base and footstraps around the dark blue marks.

The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.

For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.

The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.

More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave.
