PREDATOR _FOIL STYLE
MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE. MAXIMUM STYLE.
The Predator is a dedicated windsurfing foil board that transcends boundaries. More aggressive than the Alien, it’s engineered to carve, jump and slice through the air with decisive precision.
Redesigned for 025, the Predator now delivers enhanced in-flight stability through strategic volume distribution and a lower centre of balance. The purpose-designed nose area is a defining factor in controlled flight and landings. This added stability opens new realms of expression – from foilstyle aerial rotations to foil wave riding.
Length is kept short to reduce the lift required to keep it flying and to increase maneuverability. Premium construction keeps the weight significantly below industry standard for real performance.
Strategic inboard-only rear footstrap positioning keeps the rider’s weight directly over the foil during jumps and maneuvers, reducing leverage and minimizing breakage risk. As a true windsurf board, a deep-tuttle box is used for reliability, consistency and ease of use. Excess inserts and finboxes have been eliminated, increasing simplicity and reducing weight.
Match the Predator with the R4D for the ultimate combo.

The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.
For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.
The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.
More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave. - See more at: http://www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/quad#overview
