START WIND-FOILING AND NEVER STOP
GO–Fly takes off earlier than ever thought possible. Feel the elevated level of flying control and the smoothest touchdowns imaginable!
When Starboard introduced the GO board 24 years ago, it changed windsurfing. Now we introduce the GO–Fly, the FIRST entry level to expert foil board on the market!
The GO–Fly makes windfoiling accessible and enjoyable for everyone. HOW?
The – Bottom – Shape :
The very long flat bottom shape lets the board glide into take off speed and the cutaways helps release so you can take flight. The huge V shape from the middle to the nose makes sure that the touch downs are “money back” guarantee smooth.
Ultra-Thin Profile:
When flying, you want to be as connected as possible to your foil, the extra slim hull gets you closer to your foil and enhances control. The slim design reduces weight and wind resistance, so even if the board is quite long it feels light.
The GO–Fly board offers more foiling time than any other, secures a forgiving ride that encourages skill development and progression until you perhaps jump onto an X-15.
ENDLESS WINDRANGE
Even with the wind picking up from 6 to 25 knots or more and switching to smaller sails, the GO-Fly maintains steady and stable flight through the air. Open up a new world. Explore the freedom of flight.
SEAMLESS AND CONFIDENT ACTION
Experience quick planing and early takeoffs with the GO-Fly. Effortless landings and relaunches are facilitated by increased nose rocker. During touchdowns, the board’s hard rail edges ensure confident rebounding off the water.
FOIL-OPTIMIZED PADS
The GO-Fly is equipped with double density pads specially designed for comfort to absorb impacts, while the diamond grooves ensure perfect grip.
HUGE V SHAPE
The huge V shape from the middle to the nose makes sure that the touch downs are “money back” guaranteed smooth.
DRAKE SLICK FOOTSTRAPS
The Drake Slick foot straps are made with FSC-certified, sustainably sourced and plant-based Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber content, CO² emitted during manufacturing is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is kept to improve UV resistance, carefully sourced with the smoothest fabric for a comfortable feel.
RECOMMENDED FOILS
You’ll get the most out of this board by using the dedicated 2024 Starboard Foil SuperCruiser 2 GO-Fly model. This foil model is specifically supplied with our Evo MkII 99/34 fuselage, which places the front wing even further forwards, to ensure an even easier take off. In addition, the SuperCruiser 2 GO-Fly uses a shorter 75cm Alu V9 mast, for more stability and ease when learning. This foil and board combination make for the smoothest and easiest possible setup for learning to windfoil on – incredibly stable and forgiving
CONSTRUCTIONS
WOOD SANDWICH
LIGHTWEIGHT BOARDS DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP AS OUR LOWEST CARBON FOOTPRINT
Jean Louis Colmas started the development of wood sandwich boards in 1985, and by 1994, we introduced his technology in our production. This collaboration led to multiple world championships titles across all disciplines in Windsurfing and it remains a Starboard original. 0.6 mm Australian pine laminated deck increases impact strength while natural unidirectional fibres create awesome reflex sensations. With 500 kg/m3 density, the Pinewood absorbs minimal resin, leading to a light board and crisp ride feel. The entire board is wrapped in a 3mm PVC sandwich for long-term durability and that classic feel underfoot. A protective film covers the wood to hinder the sun’s UV impact over time.

STARLITE CARBON: CRISP AND EXCITING, YET SUPER TOUGH AND HIGH VALUE.

The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.
For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.
The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.
More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave. - See more at: http://www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/quad#overview
