WINGBOARD FOIL
BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE FOILERS
The Wingboard is designed for maximum progression, early and gradual lift onto the foil, more control, agile flight, and easy forgiving touchdowns. Our 2025 Wingboard is aimed at beginner to intermediate foilers looking to advance their skills to the next level.
WHAT'S NEW?
The longer, narrower nose helps take off faster and reduces catching through turns. The deep vee nose and higher nose rocker make for forgiving touchdowns. The refined pointed cutaway extends the rocker for early glide and helps release onto the foil faster.
GRAVITY CONTROL SYSTEM
Starboard pioneered the gravity control system in 1994, now used in windsurfing and paddle boarding. Control is achieved by keeping the feet as close to the water as possible. Cutaways were introduced in 1999, and the wing systems were developed for our iQFoiL Olympic boards to allow wide-tail boards easy lift-off and easier touchdowns.
It gives you the best connection to the foil while offering float around the outline of the board for stability and balance on the water. This compact design feature is an industry first.
STABLE WATER IMMERSION
• The Wingboard maximizes on-water balance with high volume at the tail, nose, and rails.
• With balanced volume further away from your feet, you feel the stability due to volume leverage.
• Round rails on the deck make it comfortable to rest your feet when in the kneeling position.
EXTRAORDINARY FLIGHT CONTROL AND STABILITY
Come from the reduced thickness in the standing area, as your feet are close to the foil, much like a thin surfboard.
EASY TOUCH DOWN
• The long, stretched V and rounded nose are aiding your touchdown and redirecting you into a new lift position.
• The “cutaway” volume is reduced at the tail, so when you come down for a landing, the board’s nose will easily angle itself upwards towards flight mode.
EARLY AND GRADUAL LIFT
Curved inner channel accelerates the water and creates a rocking effect that helps the board get into lift position.
NEW NOSE OUTLINE
The nose is slightly longer and more pulled in, creating less area to catch through turns while still popping up from touchdowns.
NEW PIN TAIL
Based on the success of the Ace Foil, the pointed tail on the bottom extends the rocker for a fast glide during takeoff and reduces drag.
A DEEP VEE
Flows all the way from the nose to the foil, making it easy to get airborne in choppy waters and letting the board skim during touchdowns for easy rebound.
THE “CUTAWAYS” AT THE TAIL
Act as stabilizers while lifting out of the water when the board gains speed, reducing the wetted surface and allowing the board to accelerate smoothly while on water.
SIDE CHANNELS
Drains water from the deck when the board starts accelerating.
ADDED VOLUME TAIL
The tail area has added volume right behind your back foot, while the side of the tail is carefully rounded for nice airflow when you hit higher speeds, giving you a smooth and stable flight.
FOIL POSITION
The tail cutaway lets the foil sit further forward, reducing the board area in front of you and creating a more maneuver-oriented feel.
CUSTOMISABLE INSERTS
Multiple foot strap positions let you choose between wider or narrower straps. Narrow straps offer more control, while wider straps make trimming easier. Larger boards have inserts angled inward for better balance, while smaller boards feature outward angles for added agility.
BRUSHED EVA DECK PADS
Reduce knee rash while providing ample traction.
CARRY HANDLE INSERT
The Wingboard features an ergonomic center carry handle, for easy handling with foil.
SCRATCH PROTECT NOSE STICKER
Protects your board from scratches and dings when placed on the ground, giving you peace of mind before and after your session.
FOOTSTRAP SET INCLUDED
Designed for optimal comfort and performance in wingboarding, the footstrap features premium Yulex neoprene for a soft yet secure fit. With a 60-degree angle, it molds perfectly to your foot. Multiple screw holes offer adjustability, allowing riders to customize their positioning and angle.
*Only available with Blue Carbon construction
14" FOIL BOX
The 14" box allows for foils from most brands and is extra reinforced to ensure stability and a direct transfer of energy from the foil to your feet.
BOARD SOCK INCLUDED
Reduces paper waste while protecting your board from dust, scratches, and UV damage. Made with stretchable polyester, it fits various board shapes. Ensure optimal board maintenance with the iconic blue Board Sock, featuring a secure drawstring closure.
BOARD CONSTRUCTIONS
BLUE CARBON FOILBOARD
LIGHTWEIGHT, STRONG AND DURABLE
2x Carbon Stringer for Enhanced Performance
Experience the lightest, stiffest, and strongest technology to get you flying faster and for longer.
› Get flying faster with a lighter board
Using top-grade 150g Biaxial Carbon, the board is significantly lighter yet incredibly strong and stiff. A custom process creates a double stringer, boosting breakage strength and stiffness.
› Reinforced standing area
High-density PVC in the standing area enhances durability and prevents heel dents.
› Maximum stiffness and rigidity
Lightweight biaxial carbon fiber on the deck and bottom ensures stiffness and rigidity. An arrow-shaped PVC stringer provides extra breakage strength and stiffness over the foil, essential for long, narrow shapes.
LIMITED SERIES FOILBOARD
TIMELESS LOOK, SOLID PERFORMANCE
› Super-strong and lightweight biaxial carbon fiber is laminated on the deck and bottom over the foil for maximum stiffness and rigidity. A PVC stringer prevents impact damage and creates a secure mount for the foil box.
› Double-reinforced rails provide additional strength and stiffness, while multiple layers of fiberglass protect the entire board.
› Australian pine wood in the standing area offers extra impact resistance and rigidity in the most critical impact zone.
› All inserts feature high-density foam reinforcements, along with added rail and nose reinforcements for extra durability.
AS STRONG AS POSSIBLE
› Impact-resistant, high-density EVA wraps the entire rail from nose to tail for extra protection and durability.
› Multiple layers of high-grade fiberglass wrap the entire hull to increase the overall strength at the lightest weight.

The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.
For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.
The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.
More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave. - See more at: http://www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/quad#overview
